The first step is washing the product thoroughly, after which the skin is removed using hot water. Next comes one of the key stages of the process: a trained operator ensures that only potatoes meeting our strict quality standards continue along the production line. The potatoes are then sliced into thin chips using specialized cutting machines, and fried in oil before being drained. At Snacks El Valle, we blend the essence of traditional know-how with the precision of cutting-edge technology. Our caldera frying process, rooted in artisan tradition, is enhanced by state-of-the-art equipment that allows us to replicate this unique quality on a large scale. This results in chips with authentic flavor, perfect texture, and the highest quality guarantee. After frying, the chips and other snacks move through our factory along different production lines. This system not only allows us to produce several varieties simultaneously, but also helps us prevent cross-contamination with allergens. In the next step, the chips are seasoned—either with salt or flavoring depending on the variety. This is done using tumbling machines that evenly coat the chips, achieving a consistent and balanced flavor. The production process at Snacks El Valle ends with packaging and storage. Each product is weighed to meet the exact portion required before being sealed in its bag. Every bag is marked with a batch number (including the exact date and time of packaging) to guarantee full traceability.
